Born in Lima, Peru, Di Leo grew up in São Paulo, where he works in the production of commercials, music videos, TV series, and short and feature films. His first animated short film, “The Boy who Wanted to Be a Lion” (2010), was screened at festivals such as Cannes, Annecy, and Anima Mundi. He also directed the short film “Way of Giants” (2016), which premiered at Annecy and won the Best of the Fest award at the Chicago Children’s Film Festival, earning him an Oscar qualification. In 2019, Di Leo was selected to participate in Berlinale Talents.
