Born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1974. He is a writer, director and producer. He began his career in literature and then worked in advertising before moving into cinema. Mureşanu’s work includes animated films, documentaries, fiction films and TV series. He made the short films “Half Shaved” (2012), “Negruzzi 14” (2016), “Spid” (2016) and “The Christmas Gift” (2018), which won awards at festivals such as Montreal and Clermont-Ferrand. “The New Year that Never Came” is his first feature film.
