He began his career as an actor in the early 2000s, and was part of the cast of films by directors such as Gregg Araki, Olivier Assayas, MIchael Haneke, Lars von Trier, Bertrand Bonello, Ruben Östlund, Mia Hansen-Løve and Noah Baumbach. His directing credits include the short film “Protect You + Me.” (2009), awarded at Sundance Film Festival, and the feature films “The Childhood of a Leader” (2015), which received, at the Venice International Film Festival, a special mention from the critics and the awards for best first film and best direction in the Horizons section, and “Vox Lux” (2018), screened at film festivals like Venice and BAFICI.
