Born in Turkey, Ceylan currently lives in Hamburg. She studied architectural restoration at Mimar Sinan University, in Istanbul, and product design at the University of Applied Arts, in Vienna. After graduating, she worked as a designer, illustrator and animator. In 2013, she received a scholarship from the House of Young Producers studio, in Hamburg, and founded the independent animation studio Storykid Studio.
