Born in Germany in 1972, Hochhäusler studied architecture in Berlin and film direction in Munich. He is the founder and co-publisher of the film magazine Revolver. He directed the features “This Very Moment” (2003), “I’m Guilty” (2005), a segment of the feature “Germany 09: 13 Short Films about the State of the Nation” (2009, 33rd Mostra), “The City Below” (2010, 33rd Mostra), “The Lies of the Victors” (2014) and “Till the End of the Night” (2023), presented at film festivals like Cannes and Berlin.
