Born in Madrid in 1969. He studied film at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. A writer and director, his filmography includes the features “The Good Life” (1996), “Masterpiece” (2000), “Soldiers of Salamina” (2003), “Welcome Home” (2006), “Madrid 1987” (2011), “Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed” (2013, 38th Mostra), “Casi 40” (2018) and “A Este Lado del Mundo” (2020), presented and awarded in film festivals like Cannes, Málaga, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastián and Sundance. Trueba also created the television series ¿Qué Fue de Jorge Sanz? (2010).
