Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1962, she lives in the United States. Her projects as a documentary director and producer have been supported by organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts, iTVS and the International Documentary Association (IDA). Her film “Children of the Amazon” (2008) shows the struggle to protect the largest tropical forest in the world. Denise also co-produced and co-directed the series “Digital Journey,” which won an Emmy.
