Born in Lisbon in 1960. After graduating from the Superior School of Theater and Cinema of Portugal, he established in his country as an important experimental filmmaker. His cinema debut was with “Manual of Evasion LX94” (1994). His other features include “The Window” (2001), “Muddy River” (2007), “The Baron” (2011), “Vision of Madredeus” (2012). The Mostra has presented Pera’s features “The Amazed Spectator” (2015), “Delirium in Las Vedras” (2017), “Magnetick Pathways” (2018), “O Homem Pykante – Diálogos com Pimenta” (2018), “Kinorama – Beyond the Walls of the Real” (2021) and “The Nothingness Club” (2023). Pêra is also one of the directors of “3X3D” (2013, 37th Mostra).
