Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1969, he studied architecture and cinema at the University of São Paulo. He directed, among others, the short films “Vencido” (1996, 20th Mostra) and “Copacabana” (1999), as well as the feature films “Urbania” (2001, 25th Mostra), “Caparaó” (2006), “Boca” (2010, 34th Mostra), “Em Busca de Iara” (2013), “Em um Mundo Interior” (2017), “Rumo” (2019) and “Assalto na Paulista” (2022).
