Francis Ford Coppola

Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1939. One of the most proeminent film directors in the last 50 years, he played an essential role in the renewal of American cinema with the New Hollywood movement. Amongst his most important titles are the "Godfather" trilogy (1972, 1974 and 1990), "The Conversation" (1974), “Apocalipse Now” (1979), "One From the Heart" (1981), "The Outsiders" (1983), “Rumble Fish” (1983), “Peggy Sue Got Married" (1986), "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" (1988), "Bram Stoker`s Dracula" (1992), "Youth Without Youth" (2007) and “Tetro” (2009). Winner of five Academy Awards and two times winner of the Palm D`Or, in the 48th Mostra he`s receiving the Leon Cakoff Prize and presents his most recent work, "Megalopolis".
