Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she is an artist, theater director, filmmaker, actress, researcher and artistic-environmental activist who has been working in the Brazilian Amazon for over 10 years. In the film industry, she is a partner in the production company Aruac Filmes. Gabriela acted in the films “O Duelo” (2015), by Marcos Jorge, “Jards” (2013, 36th Mostra) and “Burning Night” (2019, 43rd Mostra), by Eryk Rocha, and “Anna” (2018, 43rd Mostra), directed by Heitor Dhalia, “The Falling Sky” is her first feature film as a director.
