Iranian film director, Hana comes from a family of filmmakers: she is the daughter of Mohsen Makhmalbaf and the sister of Samira Makhmalbaf. At the age of eight, she directed her first short film, “The Day My Aunt Was Ill”. At 14, she made the documentary “Joy of Madness” (2003), which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. Her first feature film, “Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame” (2007), won a Crystal Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Hana also directed “Green Days” (2009), which was screened at the 35th Mostra.
