Isild Le Besco

Born in Paris in 1982. Isild is a director, producer, actress and painter. She acted in features by filmmakers such as Benoît Jacquot, Cédric Kahn, François Ozon and Maïwenn, and received the award for best young actress at the Venice International Film Festival for her work in “Untouchable” (2006). As a director, she made features such as “Half- Price” (2003), “Charly” (2007), “Bas-Fonds” (2010), “La Belle Occasion” (2017) and “Connemara” (2022), presented in film festivals like Locarno and Tribeca, in addition to segments of the films “Childhoods” (2007) and “Bridges of Sarajevo” (2014), both screened at Mostra. Isild Le Besco is also part of the cast of “Girl for a Day”, by Jean-Claude Monod, a film that is part of the 48th Mostra program.
