Born in Mexico City in 1972. He graduated in film from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In addition to several award- winning short films, Hernández made feature films like “A Thousand Clouds of Peace Fence the Sky, Love, Your Being Love Will Never End” (2003, 27th Mostra) and “Raging Sun, Raging Sky” (2009), both winners of the Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival, “Broken Sky” (2006), “I Am Happiness on Earth” (2014), “Tattoo of Revenge” (2018), “Asphalt Goddess” (2019) and “The Trace of Your Lips” (2023).
