Born in Frankfurt, Germany. She is a director, cinematographer, editor, and researcher. Lea began making films on a self-taught basis during a four-year stay in the UK. Upon returning to Germany, she earned a diploma in photography and media and a postgraduate diploma from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Aside from her film projects, she has created video installations and collaborated with other artists and filmmakers. She co-directed with Soso Dumbadze the documentary “Sunny Night” (2017), presented at the DOK Leipzig. “sr” is her second feature film.
