Born in the Vidigal favela, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he is an actor, screenwriter, theater and film director. He acted in more than 40 films and directed, among others, one of the episodes of the feature film “Favela, Now by Ourselves” (2010), presented at the Cannes Film Festival, and the documentary “City of God – 10 Years Later” (2013, 36th Mostra). “White House” is his debut as a fiction feature film director.
