Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he graduated in literature from PUC-RJ and began his audiovisual experience as an actor in the feature film “City of God” (2002), by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund. Since then he has produced and directed several short and feature films, such as “Uma Mãe como Eu” (2008) and “Luto como Mãe” (2009). Lomenha is the co-founder of the NGO Cinema Nosso, which teaches audiovisual to young people from the favelas, and the founder of the production company Jabuti Studio.
