He is a Palestinian-Danish filmmaker who was born in 1979. He graduated from National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom. In 2012, his first feature-length documentary “A World Not Ours” was presented at the 36th Mostra and Toronto Film Festival and received awards in Berlin and CPH:DOX. After that, he directed several short films presented and awarded in film festivals like Berlin, Cannes, Rotterdam, BAFICI, Sheffield, Visions du Réel and Cinéma du Réel, “To a Land Unknown” is his second feature film.
