Hailing from the Himalayan region of Ladakh, India. He graduated from the Film and TV Institute of India (FTII). Ali made the short films “Left to the Air” (2015), “A Visit to Mourners’ Alley” (2017) and “Far in Night” (2018). “In Retreat” is his first feature film.
