Mariana Rondón

Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, in 1966, she studied animation in Paris. She then graduated from the International School of Film and TV, in San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba. Her filmography includes the short film “Street 22” (1994) and feature films “At Midnight and a Half” (2000), co-directed by Marité Ugás and presented at the Tokyo Film Festival, “Postcards from Leningrad” (2007), which won the revelation jury award at the 31st Mostra, and “Bad Hair” (2013, 37th Mostra), awarded at Havana and Mar del Plata film festivals and winner of the best film prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
