Born in Buenos Aires in 1980. He graduated from the image and sound design program at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Turnes is member of Authors of Cinematographic Photography Argentina (ADF) and the Collective of Filmmakers (CDC). He served as director of photography on more than 20 films, both documentary and fiction. He directed the short films “A la Orilla” (2004), “Pasamontañas” (2006), “Boteros” (2010) and “Una Noche Solos” (2019), in addition to the award- winning feature-length documentary “Pichuco” (2014). “The Agronomist” is his first feature fiction work.
