Born in Lebanon, she is a filmmaker and professor at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA). She is also a founding member of the Rawiyat – Sisters in Film collective, which brings together women filmmakers from the Arab world. She directed the documentary feature “A Time to Rest” (2015), which premiered at the Visions du Réel. “Diaries from Lebanon” is her second feature film.
