Born in Tabriz, Iran, in 1975. After completing a master’s degree at the University of Tehran, Saeivar began his film career in 1992 by making short films. Alongside Jafar Panahi, he co-wrote the script for “3 Faces” (2018), which won the best screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival. He directed the feature films “The Fog” (2016), “The Alien” (2020), presented at the Berlin International Film Festival, and “No End” (2022), screened at Karlovy Vary and Busan film festivals.
