He began his career as an editor for films by directors such as Sérgio Borges, Ivo Lopes Araujo and Marcelo Grabowsky. He debuted as a director in 2008 with the short film “Longa Vida ao Cinema Cearense”. He is one of the founders of the collective Alumbramento and co- creator of the Operação Sonia Silk trilogy, in which he wrote and directed “O Rio nos Pertence” (2013). Pretti also directed “Clenched Fists” (2014, 38th Mostra) and “The Last Breath” (2016, 40th Mostra). He also directed, in collaboration with his brother Luiz, Clarissa Campolina and Julia De Simone, the short film “Harbour” (2014), screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
