Born in Georgia in 1972. She studied French and literature at the Tbilisi State University and screenwriting and directing at the Georgian Institute of Theater and Cinema. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union destroyed the Georgian film industry, she worked in advertising. Her directorial debut, “House of Others” (2016), won the best film prize of the East of West section at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. “The Antique” is her second feature film.
