Born in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1980, he began his career as an assistant director for Pen-ek Raranaruang, Wisit Sasanatieng and Aditya Assarat on many of their short films, television commercials and music videos. He has directed the short films “Always” (2006) and “Silencio” (2007). Kongsakul made his feature debut with “Eternity” (2011), winner of the best film prize at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. “Regretfully at Dawn" is his second feature film.
