Born in Duhok, Iraq, in 1987. When she was nine years old, her family decided to move to Germany for political reasons. She studied fashion, singing, and acting at the Academy Bühnenkunstschule Berlin. Later, she studied film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, in Ludwigsburg. Among her works are the short film “Trattoria” (2012), presented at the Berlin International Film Festival, the documentary “The Nsu Trial – The Protocol of the First Year” (2014) and the feature film “House Without Roof” (2016).
