Born in Paris in 1964. She graduated from the Fémis directing school. Her first short film “Des Filles et des Chien” (1992) won the Prix Jean Vigo. She made feature films like “The Tall Little One” (1994), “Ouch” (2000), “Nice Girl” (2005), “Pardon My French” (2009), "If You Don`t, I Will" (2014, 38th Mostra) and “When Margot Finds Margot” (2018), presented in film festivals like Berlin, Toronto, Locarno, London and FIDMarseille. Sophie Filliéres passed away in July 2023, and “This Life of Mine” was finished filming by her children and collaborators.
