Born in Braunschweig, Germany, in 1962. He studied at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (DFFB). He has worked as a film director and screenwriter since 1992. Arslan directed, among others, the feature films “Brothers and Sisters” (1996), “Dealer” (1999), winner of critics’ and the ecumenical jury prizes at the Berlin International Film Festival, “A Fine Day” (2001), “Vacation” (2007), “In the Shadows” (2010), “Gold” (2013) and “Bright Nights” (2017, 41st Mostra).
