Born in La Rochelle, France, in 1970. Paronnaud wrote screenplays for TV films, debuted as a director with “Raging Blues” (2004, 28th Mostra). After that he made feature films like “Villemolle 81” (2009), and, alongside Marjane Satrapi, “Persepolis” (2007), winner of the audience prize of best foreign fiction film at the 31st Mostra, and “Chicken with Plums” (2011, 35th Mostra).
