A musician who suffers from agoraphobia avoids leaving his house. He lives reclusively, with only the company of his shadow —which shares his silhouette but moves on its own. His friend, Ingrid, tries to keep in touch with him through emails. However, the protagonist’s responses are always vague and do not reassure her. While the musician lives alone, his friends divide their time between work, libraries, and volleyball matches, going about their lives during the autumn in Buenos Aires.
