International Perspective
Amid villages surrounded by dense forests in 18th-century Austria, a woman is sentenced to death after killing a baby. Agnes is about to get married and delicately prepares for her future life as a wife. It doesn’t take long for her mind and heart to grow heavy. Day by day, she finds herself increasingly trapped on a dark and lonely path that leads her to sinister thoughts. Perhaps not just thoughts.
Winner of the best artistic contribution prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.
