Stella, a young German Jew, grows up in Berlin during the Nazi regime. She dreams of becoming a jazz singer, despite the repression in her country. Her life turns into a tragedy when, in February 1943, she is forced to go into hiding with her parents. After being betrayed, she is captured by the Gestapo, tortured, and becomes a “grabber”: to avoid being sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp along with her family, Stella begins to systematically betray other Jews.
