Sujo

Mexico, USA, France 2024 Fiction cor 125 min.

Sujo, a four-year-old boy, faces a life-threatening situation after his father, a cartel gunman, is murdered. He narrowly escapes death with the help of his aunt, who moves with him to a rural, isolated area where they live in poverty, constantly alert to the dangers associated with his identity. As Sujo enters adolescence, a rebellious spirit awakens in him, and, as a rite of passage, he joins the local cartel. As an adult, he attempts to rebuild his life, distancing himself from the violence of his hometown. However, when his father’s legacy catches up with him, he will come face to face with what seems to be his destiny.
