Marli is caught off guard by the news that Iara’s apartment, where she has worked for twenty years, has been sold, and this will be their last day there, as Iara is being moved to a nursing home the next day. Though stunned by the urgency of the change, Marli can’t wait to return to her hometown, Olinda. What she doesn’t expect is to receive the most difficult news of this long day from her teenage daughter, Sofia.
