Jornal da Mostra

The 48th Mostra takes place from October 17 to 30. The program includes 417 films from 82 countries, presented in the sections International Perspective, New Directors Competition, Mostra Brasil, and Special Screenings, in addition to restored films and virtual reality experiences.

This year, the festival shines a special view on Indian cinema: in addition to a retrospective dedicated to director Satyajit Ray —whose art is featured on this edition`s poster—, the Spotlight on India section showcases works from renowned and emerging Indian filmmakers.

For the first time, children have their own section: Mostrinha features Brazilian films —both current and classic— as well as movies from countries like the United States, Canada, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Chile.
