Freely adapted from the novel “The Beast in the Jungle”, by Henry James, the film follows a couple who goes to a nightclub for 25 years, from 1979 to 2003, in anticipation of a mysterious event. From disco to techno, they witness important global events: the AIDS crisis, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the attack on the World Trend Center. When “it” finally comes to pass, it takes on a more tragic form than ever expected.
Presented in the Panorama section at the Berlin International Film Festival.
