Some Voices (2000)
Sobre o filme
Ray is a charming and affable guy, but also enigmatic and emotionally unstable. After having spent years in a psychiatric hospital, he tries to adapt to the “normal” world. His brother Pete, owner of a bar-restaurant, takes care of him. Over- protective, he keeps up an unstable balance for his routines as best he can. Things begin to come apart when the unpredictable Laura, a Scottish girl whom Kay falls in love with, comes on the scene. She has just broken up with her boyfriend with whom she had a Homeric fight. Little by little, Laura perceives that, inspite of all the sweetness and good humor, Ray is not normal. His health is deteriorating: far from the care of his brother, he has stopped taking medicine. In one of his bouts, he believes he is invisible. Finally, his mental state is aggravated to the extent that co-existence is impossible. Pete is left with the task of starting once more from naught, in his efforts against his brother`s paranoia and an insane world.
