Kike Like Me (2007)
Sobre o filme
People have always asked filmmaker Jamie Kastner "Are you Jewish?". Kike Like Me is Jamie Kastner’s personal and highly idiosyncratic journey through the realm of implications opened by answering the question with a hypothetical "Yes". With who are you suddenly allied? For what are you suddenly to blame? What do you have to answer for? What are you supposed to feel superior about? Do you have to marry Jewish? What about all the people who both revile you and want what you have? Kastner receives a shotgun bar Mitzvah from Hasids in Brooklyn; causes a near-riot by a Parisian suburb simply by asking what people think about Jews; he meets the "dominatrix" behind Berlin’s largest memorial to dead Jews and enjoys lunch at the hot dog stand at Auschwitz.
