A weekend in Rio de Janeiro. In a popular block in the north side of the city, in a shed, men and women are at work for a samba school, in the month of September, making costumes for Carnival. The musicians improvise and someone recognizes the musical theme from the film Black Orpheus, by Marcel Camus, composed by Tom Jobim and Luís Bonfá in 1959. The documentary investigates the impact of the film and the relationship it has with the vitality of Brazilian music, with such as samba and bossa-nova.
