Born in Lithuania in 1988. He holds a bachelor’s degree in both applied mathematics from Vilnius University and in cinematography from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He made short films such as "The Camel" (2016), "By the Pool" (2017) and "Caucasus" (2018), presented in film festivals such as Locarno, San Sebastián and Venice. "Pilgrims" (2021, 46th Mostra), your feature debut, won best picture in Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival. "Drowning Dry" is his second feature film.
