Senegalese filmmaker, he obtained his master’s degree in screenwriting and directing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Among his works are the documentary “Musoya, Malgré le Silence” (2005), the short film “Samedi Cinema” (2016), screened at Venice and Toronto film festivals, and the feature film “Nafi’s Father” (2019), winner of best first feature and best film awards of the Filmmakers of the Present section at the Locarno Film Festival.
