Born in Spain in 1970, she studied fine arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Maria has produced and directed animated shorts in 35mm including “¿Con qué la Lavaré?” (2003), winner of the Teddy Award for best short film at the Berlin International Film Festival and of the short film grand prix at the IndieLisboa, “Ex-libris” (2009) and “¿Dónde Estabas Tú?” (2020). “Rock Bottom” is her first feature film.
