Born in Hokkaido, Japan, in 1984. He graduated from Hitotsubashi University’s Faculty of Sociology, and completed the elementary course in fiction at the Film School of Tokyo. Miyake directed the feature films “Playback” (2012), “The Cockpit” (2014), “Misshi to Bannin” (2017) and “Small, Slow But Steady” (2022), presented in film festivals like Locarno, Berlin, Gothenburg and Cinéma du Réel.
