Vítor is in his early thirties and still lives with his mother, Fátima, in the apartment that his grandmother, Júlia, left for them. Fátima is an introverted hairdresser who is used to controlling her emotions with strict discipline. Keeping the line and tidying the house are the routines that make her feel safe, but when she goes to bed she secretly fantasizes about the police officer who recently moved into the apartment in front of them. In the morning, Vítor is part of the cheer squad for a television program, and at night he dresses up with his neighbor’s uniform to satisfy the fantasies of a boy he met on the internet. Júlia no longer knows what medicines to take to sleep. Her husband died, but his authoritarian personality incarnated in the body of her best friend to continue asking her for explanations about everything she does. Everyone believes that the time has come to be happy, but what they desire seems to dissolve into thin air.
