The Survivors

Sobreviventes

Portugal, Brazil 2024 Fiction p&b 111 min.

In the mid-19th century, a group of survivors from a slave shipwreck, comprising individuals both white and black, find themselves stranded on a deserted island in the Atlantic ocean. The struggle for survival and dominance will challenge the moral and social norms of the era. Is it conceivable for them, in their isolation, to set aside the power dynamics and oppression of the past, and discover a new way of coexisting harmoniously?
